Programs & Meetings
Arkansas Valley Audubon Society sponsors regular monthly programs of an educational nature on the second Friday of September, October, November, January, February, March, April, and May. In some years, programs are held in other months as well. Programs begin with a social time at 700 p.m., followed about thirty minutes later with the presentation for the evening. We meet in the Education Room of the Pueblo Zoo, located adjacent to City Park. Programs are free and open to the public. Check our Monthly Calendar for program topics.
The AVAS Board of Directors meets on the Monday that immediately follows the regularly-scheduled program meeting. The meeting begins at 700 p.m. Board meetings are not normally scheduled during the months of June, July, and December. The regular Board meetings are held at the Raptor Center of Pueblo (a facility of the Greenway and Nature Center) at 4027 W. 11th St. (also known as Nature Center Rd.). Special Board meetings may be held from time to time. Please call the Raptor Center of Pueblo at (719) 549-2327 to obtain directions to the meeting site or to confirm the next scheduled meeting date and time, or, check our Monthly Calendar for details. All AVAS Board meetings are open to all chapter members.
